Surely a completely recycled product such as Nouvelle has a better place in the list?

Amazed to see Nestle products in this list - do the selection criteria not include any to do with social responsibility in developing countries? It is very difficult to separate environmental from development and health issues.

I don't understand why such a massive corporation is not making any environmental efforts despite the progress made by its competitors. Mars has no excuse to not be taking action.

I don't actually have a copy of this "Green Index Report", but it was claimed by 'Which? Magazine' that "Haribo sweets came bottom of the list". As an environmentalist and a massive fan of certain Haribo offerings, I would like to see what Haribo's response is to this issue. At the time of writing I couldn't find anything at haribo.co.uk.

VERY HARSH ON THE SKIN,uses optical brightners and exotoxic ,fossil fuel derivatives.Use plant based materials instead like Ecover ,far better.

Excellent product, works at low temps with the same results as toxic ,fossil fuelled competitors.Good recyclable materials but Unfortnuately uses Polypropelene for lids and dishwasher packing -currently not recycled anywhere in UK and just landfilled or wasted in incinerators.

These guys are very shady when it comes to the environment. They tell you this Excel Gel thing is great, but it has sooo much packaging it can't be good. And it costs a fortune..

Doesn't surprise me that Persil came out on top they've always been brilliant. Small & Mighty is amazing - great cleaning and better for the environment too.

Persil - they've always been great, doesn't surprise me at all that they come out on top. Small & Mighty is excellent, great cleaning and better for the environment too.

I don't get this product...If the concentrated version is the better one...why are they still making this version. It makes no sense at all.
