ASSIM ISHAQUE, BA (Hons), Chartered Energy Manager, MEI, AIEMA : Founder of EnvirUP
Having completed his degree in Accounting and Finance, Assim has worked for a number of organisations including HSBC and Virgin Media (formerly NTL). He took the skills and experiences of his corporate career and then established EnvirUP in July 2002. He has developed the organisation’s services and lead their delivery to a great range of clients such as blue chip companies, property asset management companies, leading property managers to government departments.

Assim enjoys fulfilling family life with his wife and three young children in Nottingham and extended family who support the idea of low carbon living and recycle their waste and enjoy growing vegetables in their garden. They share a Prius, a 1 litre Yaris, bicycle and three scooters!
MOHAMMED SAJARD, BA (Hons),Chartered Energy Manager, MEI, AIEMA : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Having completed his degree in Accounting and Business Administration he joined Powergen, now part of the E.ON Group. He successfully completed a number of roles including energy billing management, services auditing, systems analysis and business management. After gaining an overall grounding in the energy business, he joined EnvirUP in 2003, where he is responsible for the Utilities Procurement and Energy Management. He is a Member and Chartered Energy Manager of the Energy Institute and Associate Member of Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
Mohammed has successfully delivered a number of projects for Corporate Clients, Government Departments, and Local Authorities. He has considerable experience in the Renewable Energy Sector where he has worked on wind, biomass and solar projects.
Mohammed divides his spare time between reading, travelling, gardening and walking in the countryside. He is also a competent DIY enthusiast.
MARIANA ROTUNDU : FINANCIAL & BANKING STRATEGIST
With a degree in Business Administration and post graduate studies in Strategic Management, Mariana experience covers 10 years in international banking working across Europe with organisations such as EBRD, National Bank of Greece, HVB and Kaupthing Bank. Mariana covered lending to large corporations (insurance, leasing, telecommunications), real estate structured finance and infrastructure investments.
During her time at Kaupthing Mariana worked on the development of the infrastructure investment fund with focus on Central and Eastern Europe, investing among others into renewable energy projects when she met with Envirup through her professional network.
Mariana brings on board her skills and knowledge of acquisition, structured and project finance, being responsible for the financial and debt advisory aspects in the assignments taken up by Envirup. In addition to her professional skills Mariana brings on a wealth of contacts in the banking and investment industry across Europe.
