Eight reasons for the EnvirUP Green Index
- UK's First Green Index
We have produced a Green Index which is the first of its kind in the UK allowing you to assess brands on their Green credentials. No body else is doing this research for the consumer. Most people buy some of these brands so we should all have something to read about.
- We can help you lead an easier Greener lifestyle
We provide you with all the information you need about the major products in one place with a simple yet effective layout. We even have a simple guide for you to take when shopping to help you purchase products that are more environmentally friendly and help you lead a Greener lifestyle. We hope the report can influence your buying choices, which may help reduce your shopping bill too!
- We can help you reduce your carbon footprint
The Green Index will help you select brands that are more environmentally friendly therefore helping you to reduce your carbon footprint. Choosing between certain brands, for example Pepsi or Coke, Walkers or McCoy's, Nescafe or Kenco, you might think won't make any difference but in terms of millions of sales across a wide range of products it could make a huge difference in helping to reduce the UK's carbon footprint.
- Envirup contributes to charities
We give 20% of our revenue (after transaction costs to a number of charities) looking after the most vulnerable in the community.
- We can make a difference
By changing our buying habits, we together have the power to change the way that manufacturers produce their products. Putting extra pressure on UK brands to do more sooner.
- We care
We passionately believe in our cause; the environment. We want you the consumer to be better informed about the environmental impact of the top 100 UK brands.
- Cutting through the green wash
There is currently no definitive information available which allows you to see which brands are Greener than others. Our Index allows you to see through the Green wash providing information you need to make informed purchases.
- We are independent
The Green Index is self funded without any corporate or third party sponsorship therefore we are able to report our findings in a responsible and objective manner.
